Northern pike are biting really well on all presentations. Walleye fishing is hit and miss, with a lot more little ones being caught. The water temperatures are 50 degrees at Maguire Creek and warm the farther south one goes. Brady Babb of Wolf Point caught a 32 1/4, 12.15-pound walleye over the weekend on a jig and minnow. There have been a few others over 30-inches caught. Smallmouth bass are hitting well. Tim Markle of Helena landed a 23-pound catfish using a bobber and minnow from the boat.
